Problem: Failure of previously installed PRV’s due to clogging by solid particles in water coming through supply line.

Cause and Solutions: Our Technical Team visited the Site & after complete inspection concluded that due to Solid Particles coming Through Water Supply line, The PRV! was clogged resulting to PRV failure as it was not able to shut completely and leaving some gap allowing some water to pass. As per Hydraulic Law ……Pressure transmits in static condition from inlet to Outlet of PRV Through that gap which remained open due to Solid Particle trapped in between the mechanism. Our Technical Team recommended to install Our Sana’s SCS. {Self-Clean Strainers) which will trap the Solid Particles and all foreign Particles, protecting the PRV installed and ensuring the continuous working of PRV, but due to Brass Body PRV the process of Dezincification was observed which had led to holes in the PRV (porous).

Results: So finally The Society office bearers decided to replace all old PRV’s to Sana’s Aqua green make as it comes in Stainless Steel (grade 304) Body which is almost lifelong (more than 50 years) & also comes with an In-built strainer which prevents the installation of additional strainer before the PRV’s and saving cost of the same.
